Our Commitment

Epidaurus is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Current Conformance Status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Some content does not yet fully meet the standard due to limitations described below.

Known Limitations

• World map (SVG): the interactive SVG world map is not yet fully keyboard-navigable. A table-based alternative view is available on the Country Rankings and Compare pages.
• Data tables: some comparison tables may not have complete ARIA row/column headers on all screen readers. We are working to improve this.
• Score colour contrast: the score-band colour palette (green/amber/red) is accompanied by text labels and numeric scores to avoid reliance on colour alone.
• PDF and markdown exports: downloadable content may not be fully accessible. Contact us for accessible alternatives.

Technical Information

This website relies on the following technologies for conformance: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (import maps / Hotwire Turbo & Stimulus), and SVG. We do not use Flash or PDF for primary content delivery.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this Site that is not listed above, or if you need content in an alternative format, please contact us. Include a description of the barrier and the URL of the page where you encountered it. We aim to acknowledge all accessibility reports within 5 business days and to resolve confirmed issues within 30 days where technically feasible.
